6-8yrs Spring term project from start to finish!

We explored the wonderful work of Palmira Correa from Venezuela during our spring term this year. Correa strongly inspired by people, relationships and the body. We explored her unique style of drawing, to create our own Family portrait.

After an introduction to Palmira Correa's work, we look at the unique drawing style, to create our own inspired portrait drawings, of ourselves and our family.

After building confidence with pencil drawings, we moved to paint! Using acrylic paint and permanent markers on canvas - to create beautiful family portraits on canvas.

We then transferred these skills to create a 3-D final masterpiece. We began by creating a prototype using card, moving onto drawing and painting on wood. We love how wonderful the wooden paintings turned out.
