We hit the jackpot this year! Six of our art aptitude students passed the art test with flying colours, achieving a place in the second round of tests for Holland Park School's art scholarship places. One student managed to pass through two tests at Holland Park and St. Benedict’s! We are also proud of our young 1:1 art student who achieved a place at the prestigious Westminster Boys.

This class is suitable for those who

- Enjoy learning new art skills and would like to gain creative confidence using a range of media.

- Would like tuition in small, intimate groups

- Create work over time suitable for a Portfolio.

- Looking to apply for an Art Scholarship.

ABOUT THE CLASS:  This is a formal drawing & painting course open to all children aged from 9 - 13yrs. The course consists of drawing & painting - Sculpture, oils, watercolours, pencils & pastels are just a few mediums we explore. We will look at drawing techniques: measuring for drawing accuracy, shading & composition. This course is suitable for students looking to create art in smaller, intimate groups; with the option of more 1:1 tuition. Our Portfolio courses are ideal for students looking to apply for scholarships, with the view of building a portfolio for submission - though the class is open all. We also recommend this class for those participating in the art entrance exam for schools. Over the years we have enjoyed excellent success rates with our students being offered art places at Holland Park School and City of London Girls & Northbridge House.  *We cannot guarantee that your child will be offered an art place at your chosen school. *Please note if you are aiming to build a portfolio, these can be built up over at least 2 yrs; thus giving the student the time to produce a series of pieces suitable for a portfolio submission to secondary schools. This course is not a course leading to an art aptitude test, however, the skills taught within this course are aimed at building and strengthening a students’ artistic ability.
